A commission allowance, a wallet transfer and an automatic purchase each use a different counting rule and transaction record.
Check the account company and operation: identify the agreement, platform and instrument before applying an offer or interpreting a cash entry. A published feature does not establish that it is available to your account, and a scheduled purchase does not establish execution.
English documents can still belong to different companies
The FCA record for Admiral Markets UK Ltd displays reference 595450, Authorised status since 12 June 2013, company 08171762 and www.admiralmarkets.com. Its clone notices concern impersonators. This identity check does not establish every activity permission, current account-opening availability or an individual's FOS/FSCS entitlement.
The checked international legal directory identifies Admirals SC Ltd. The investment page checked for this review instead displays Admirals Europe Ltd in its footer. Neither an English-language page nor a shared domain establishes that a UK agreement applies.
| Record | Scope to confirm | Separate evidence needed |
|---|---|---|
| Commission offer | Company, account type, eligible instrument and daily counter | Current applicability and each actual charge |
| Recurring investment instruction | Selected funding balance, amount, frequency and program status | Cash transfer, accepted order and fill |
| Fractional holding disclosure | Legal company, position quantity and rights | Dividend entry, corporate action and exit route |
| Wallet or account transfer | Source, destination and currency | Conversion quote, fee and resulting ledger entries |
Keep the accepted agreement and later notices alongside each statement. A link currently available online helps locate a document, but it cannot establish which version governs a personal account. The examples below retain their company-specific scope.
Count the unit used by the offer before counting your trades
The published UK No Commission Offer, dated June 2025, uses different daily units: Trade.MT4 has three round-turn trades; Trade.MT5 has six one-side deals; Invest.MT5 has one one-side deal. Partial closes consume allowances. MT5 and Invest exclude ETFs and Australian instruments from their respective offers. Its trading day uses platform EET, and terms can change. This review does not certify that this published offer remains applicable to your account in October.
Before estimating commission, write down what the counter measures. A position can involve one opening and several partial closes. Counting positions, tickets or calendar days in your own timezone can produce a different result from counting eligible executions.
Deal-count illustration: Suppose an eligible Invest.MT5 account has a confirmed allowance of one single-side deal for the relevant day, and no earlier eligible deal. A purchase followed by a sale contains two deals. That assumption alone cannot make both commission-free. If the sale is split into two executions, retain both records and ask how each is counted. This is an interpretation aid, not confirmation of a current offer or a tariff quotation.
- Save the offer version, company and eligibility confirmation.
- Export the day's opening, closing and partial-closing executions with platform timestamps.
- Match the counter to those executions and compare the charged commission with the applicable standard tariff.
- Check spread, conversion, financing and market levies separately. A waived transaction commission does not establish a zero total cost.
When disputing a charge, identify the particular execution and the allowance you believe remained before it. A screenshot saying “no commission” is less informative than the dated conditions and the execution sequence.
Trading conversion and moving money use different fee bases
The international Fees and Charges page distinguishes same-currency internal transfers, different-currency trading-account transfers, wallet transfers and instrument-related conversion. It lists 1% for different-currency trading-account transfers; cross-currency wallet routes have a separate five-free-transfer allowance per 24 hours per client, followed by stated charges. These are provider disclosures for the displayed route, not a universal personal tariff.
The linked Admirals SC conversion explanation, modified 5 August 2025, describes 0.3% on relevant settled profit/loss, distributions and service charges, excluding margin deposits and notional transaction values. Its opening “every trade” wording should be read alongside those specified bases. Do not automatically multiply the entire position value by 0.3%.
Fee-base illustration: If the company confirms that a particular converted entry has a chargeable base of 100 and a rate of 0.3%, the fee component is 0.30 in that base's currency. This assumes the rate applies and precedes any currency conversion or rounding. It does not determine the base from your trade size or estimate your account's total cost.
For a disputed entry, request the amount being converted, whether it is a credit or debit, the rate used, any added fee, rounding and the resulting account-currency value. Keep an internal-transfer quote separate from a trade settlement. Using the same currency pair does not make their charging rules identical.
A wallet debit does not prove the scheduled security was bought
The SC directory links SC securities terms dated 18 September 2024. Selected Auto-Invest annex clauses describe funding from the chosen wallet or Invest.MT5 balance, cancellation after two recurring transaction failures, first-available market pricing and no automatic transfer back to the wallet when a purchase fails after funds move to Invest.MT5. Disabled or close-only instruments can prevent scheduled purchases. These are SC terms, not a group-wide guarantee or a determination of contractual enforceability.
Reconstruct a failed cycle in stages: the instruction, the funding movement, the order submission and the execution result. Check whether the cash remains in the designated investment account and whether the program is active, paused or cancelled. A missing purchase and a missing cash balance are different discrepancies.
- Retain the scheduled date, security identifier, planned cash amount and selected funding source.
- Match any wallet debit to the destination account credit.
- Locate the accepted or rejected order and any instrument restriction at the scheduled time.
- Review the program's status after a failure before assuming the next cycle will proceed.
- Keep the confirmation of any change or cancellation. It does not by itself reverse existing holdings.
A regular amount can purchase different quantities as market prices change. Compare the actual quantity and execution price with the cash spent, residual cash and charges. This review did not test a schedule or establish an account's current minimum amount, accepted changes or execution availability.
Small holdings still need a dividend and transfer check
The currently listed SC fractional disclosure, dated 8 August 2023, describes hundredth-unit quantities, separately set minimum order values and residual cash from amount-based orders. It sets a 0.01 account-currency dividend threshold, does not provide automatic dividend reinvestment, excludes voting and voluntary corporate-action elections, and says fractional investments are not transferable.
An advertised €1 or $1 starting amount cannot establish that every instrument accepts that exact amount. Check the order preview, quantity increment, minimum value and cash left over. Likewise, a fractional dividend entitlement and a credited cash entry need separate reconciliation: identify the holding quantity, issuer payment, currency, tax treatment and credited amount.
The checked European investment page says incoming portfolio transfers are not currently offered. That answer concerns its displayed route and the question asked; it should not be stretched into a conclusion about every group's whole-share transfer-out service. For an exit, request a written position-by-position assessment of transfer eligibility, any necessary sales, fees and receiving-account requirements.
Retain corporate-action notices when a holding changes quantity, name or availability. A new ticker or cash adjustment can require issuer-specific explanation. This page does not determine a personal tax consequence or recommend selling to overcome a transfer restriction.
Keep the chart, instruction and completed transaction separate
The Admirals Platform page describes integrated TradingView charts and lists separate web, mobile and MetaTrader products. A chart library does not establish that a personal TradingView account is connected to the broker, nor that a MetaTrader Expert Advisor runs in the web interface.
For a missing or unexpected investment, preserve the company and account number, exact instrument, platform, instruction timestamp, order identifier, execution record and ledger entries. For a recurring cycle, add program status and funding-source selection. For commission, add the preceding eligible executions and the dated offer; for conversion, add the fee base and exchange rate.
Questions that resolve common account ambiguities
Does one commission-free deal include both a purchase and sale?
A single-side allowance counts one side. Check the applicable offer, execution sequence and daily counter before assuming an opening and a closing both qualify.
Why did money leave my wallet without a new holding?
Locate the destination account credit and the order result. The reviewed SC Auto-Invest annex describes circumstances where transferred cash is not automatically returned after a failed purchase.
Will a fractional dividend automatically buy more shares?
The reviewed SC fractional disclosure says there is no dividend reinvestment program. Reconcile the credited cash and any separate purchase instruction rather than assuming reinvestment.
