Forex regulation and broker checks in Vietnam

Check the local authorities, licensed entities, client-protection limits and official complaint routes for Vietnam.

Forex regulation in Vietnam

An official Vietnamese Government press-briefing record stated that, at that time, only authorised credit institutions could conduct foreign-exchange dealing and related services and that no “Forex investment exchange” had been licensed. The statement reflects its publication date and must not be turned into an unverified permanent legal conclusion.

Regulatory scope and roles

The State Bank of Vietnam administers foreign exchange. FXCN has not found a current official local register for retail-Forex platforms, so it labels no broker as locally licensed in Vietnam and does not repackage a foreign licence as Vietnamese authorisation.

Client-protection boundaries

An FCA, ASIC or other foreign licence establishes only the status of the relevant foreign entity. It does not prove that marketing, onboarding, funding or dispute handling in Vietnam meets local requirements. FXCN has no evidence for a uniform local investor-compensation amount and states none.

How to confirm service eligibility

A platform soliciting Vietnamese residents should identify the legal entity, local authority relied upon, payment route and complaint jurisdiction. If the claim cannot be traced to an official record, record it as unverified rather than inferring legality from the site language or support statement.

Complaints and evidence to retain

Preserve contracts, transfers, domains, messages and withdrawal records. This page has not verified a dedicated State Bank complaint URL for retail-Forex platforms, so FXCN does not invent one; contact the payment provider’s fraud channel and verify the next step through official State Bank or local law-enforcement channels.

Brokers with verified local licences

This list reflects only locally licensed relationships verified in our database. It does not prove that a broker accepts every location or client category; confirm the contracting entity before opening an account.

No broker currently passes the local-licence evidence threshold in our data. Missing data does not prove that no licence exists, and a foreign licence is not local authorisation.

Brokers headquartered in Vietnam

Headquarters describe corporate background only; they do not establish a local licence, customer eligibility or local protection.

No brokers are headquartered here yet, but you can still choose a broker holding an active Tier 1 licence elsewhere.
